Albert 'Hardy' Peltier
We regret to inform that one of our Great Northern Opry Inductees has passed away. Albert 'Hardy' Peltier was inducted into the Great Northern Opry in 2007. Albert, who was from Wikwemikong, was our first inductee from the Manitoulin Island district. Besides his love for country music, Hardy was active in his community with lobbying relating to Native Land Claims, and mentoring young people.
